Is the time tested “out of turn” action rule broken?
Is it an accident sometimes? Yes
Can it be an angle? Yes
Is the current rule the best solution? 🤷🏻♂️
I need to hear player opinions for the upcoming @PokerTDA Summit June 29-30th.
@SavagePoker@Gags30poker@dDeoxyribo Think this was only added 7 years ago or so. Wasn't specified in the rules before then. This technically used to be a call.
@Protentialmn@jeffplatt@basebaldy@tjreidpoker Yes, I also think it's more of a security the way it is right now.
Every two hours you're shoveling thousands of people twice through a small curved hallway. Would be great if you can reopen the debate with them.
Previous years were different with big fields in Paris.
@GoLeafsGoEh@SavagePoker@AndreasFroehli@ToddWitteles@JackEffel@PokerTDA@Andy_Bloch Have brought this up already at previous summits but a lot of operators on this side of the pond seem to stick to the fixed 10 minutes. And it's even easy to guess the amount of hands. If they need to lose players it's 5-6 hands. If they want to go to bed it's 3.
@JDPC27@FarazJaka@SavagePoker Yes, because those are during the day and players have the option between two. Our biggest flight at PS Open is still the last day flight with a 30 min clock.
At the end of the day it's arbitrary what you call them. For me Turbo is 20 min or less.
At an EPT 8-handed, good dealers and some repeat levels it feels to me you still have a lot of maneuverability.
It also depend if blind levels are getting skipped or not. That is way more misleading. Then do 20 min levels instead.
@FarazJaka@SavagePoker Online you don't play 3x as many hands as you do play live so your equation doesn't really add up.
30 min still plays around 22-25BB on average. Which is often the case you have in a 'regular' online MTT.
@jeremyausmus@SavagePoker But wouldn't side events with different games encourage people to try something different?
You can try them at a cheaper price point.
People would refrain from travelling if the only game on a lot of days is something they're unfamiliar with.
@SavagePoker@danheimiller@padspoker Can't put it all in a single message but registering later in the tournament has many advantages. And the math had proven it.
