Today in the Australian Senate, One Nation called on the government to slash the petrol excise.

Right now the government is raking in huge revenue from fuel taxes while Australians are struggling with rising costs. Instead of giving families relief, Labor is happy to keep collecting.

The Treasurer made it clear today he will not reduce the petrol tax in any way, shape or form to help Aussie households.

Keeping fuel excise high during a time of global instability and rising prices makes Labor no better than war lords who extort an impoverished people. Australians rely on fuel to get to work, run farms, and keep regional communities moving.

Labor has no morals when it comes to taxes. They will use any crisis to bleed the country dry, all to prop up their out-of-control spending. Australians deserve better.
