Noticed Liang Wei Keng resting on the bench during intervals. I rarely see Japanese or Korean players do that—they’re usually standing while listening to their coaches’ instructions.
Is it a cultural thing, or just personal preference?

Watched 3 Shida/Igarashi matches. Honestly, they were quite boring.
The pair still look out of sync, and they lacked creativity.
But a win is a win. It doesn’t have to be pretty.

The Korean coach was really intense today. Kept shouting instructions from the sidelines throughout the match.
I guess Lee So Hee is completely used to it by now—she barely seemed to react. #SingaporeOpen2026
First time watching Sayaka Hobara play live.
She was all over the court. 😂 It honestly looked like she was playing women’s doubles inside a mixed doubles match. #保原彩夏 #SingaporeOpen2026
The Korean players are built differently.
Big physiques and long reach - once they step onto the court, they already look intimidating. Feels like they’ve won half the battle before the match even starts. #anseyoung#leesohee
Saw three players get injured this week: Toh Ee Wei, Dechapol, and Kie Nakanishi. Dechapol needed a spray on his back and then couldn’t really play towards the end.
Really hoping all three are okay and can make a quick recovery.

Best match of Day 4 at the Singapore Open, and it’s not even close.
Akane Yamaguchi vs Ratchanok Intanon was badminton at its finest—endless rallies, incredible court coverage, deceptive shot-making, and two veterans constantly trying to outsmart each other.
