In the video below is Comrade Edward Ssebuufu, popularly known as Eddie Mutwe, the chief of security for our President, HE Bobi Wine, a man whose only crime is protecting a leader who dares to challenge a dictator.

Months ago, Eddie was abducted in broad daylight by regime operatives under the command of Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Museveni’s own son. He was whisked away to an unknown location, stripped naked, tortured, and shaved bald. His bruised and bloodied face was photographed and posted online by Muhoozi himself, who shamelessly boasted and chest thumped about the abduction, publicly claiming he had him in basement and could do anything to him. It was a shocking, disgusting show of impunity and abuse of power.

He was beaten relentlessly, psychologically broken, and dumped before the courts like an animal, charged with fabricated crimes and thrown into prison, not a hospital, even though he was too weak to even walk or stand by himself. This is a man who needed emergency medical care, not prison bars.

He should have never been abducted. He should have never been tortured. And he should have never been jailed. But in Museveni’s Uganda, this is what happens to those who dare to dream of a better country.

Since that day, Eddie Mutwe has remained in a dire state, physically and mentally shattered, his health has not improved since then.

we must not stop demanding freedom and justice, for him and the many others who rot in illegal detention cells and military prisons, their only crime being the dream of a free Uganda, their only crime being supporting our generation leader HE Bobiwine and the mighty NUP.

Among them are brave comrades like Yasin Machete, Gaddafi Mugumya, Bobi Young, Achileo Kivumbi, Kato Umar, Smart Wa Bobi, and countless others.

These are not criminals, they are vibrant youths with vision, strength, and potential. But instead of building the nation, they are being buried alive in politically motivated persecution.

Painful fact is that this situation isn’t going to change by itself, we have a duty of confronting it as a generation head on and say enough is enough.
