@TLRailUK your delay repay system has to be the worst out there. Doesn’t work. Error after error. Delay yesterday caused a missed connection that made me an hour late.
Hi @GWRHelp
I do quite long and freq journeys Reading - Bristol or Glous.
My backside is suffering. It’s v uncomfortable. Can feel the metal through the seat cushion. On all the mainline trains I’ve been on. Can GWR do some seat refurb? New cushions please.
@AntiEVidiots It’s so worrying how easily Reform has spread, esp when you factor in the harm they will do to those very people. I hope the OP has enough money for health insurance for both the kids.
@cineworld I just took my daughter to see it. She really enjoyed it. ‘80s was a golden age for films for sure.
Crawley Cineworld could turn volume down a few db though. Painful at times. (We love seeing films there though - cracking cinema overall).
@Ourpetezhere@AntiEVidiots Same. I’m 2 years in. It was ok then, but sometimes problematic (like m/way servs with just 2 old Elec Highway chargers). Now, there are so many options when out away from home it’s eezy peezy. More and more elec forecourts etc. amazing in such short space of time.
@Jane61773534728@AntiEVidiots Things have moved on so fast! I kinda miss those days of feeling like a “pioneer” and the charger chats / Learning from each other. Still a community though ✊I’m going to make a conscious effort to talk to a fellow EVer next time I’m out charging.
@AntiEVidiots I was thinking that the other day whilst walking kids to school. Had to breathe in disgusting exhaust fumes the whole way. Clouds of it sometimes. I’m noticing it more. Annoying noisy engines (deliberate & knackered), oil patches, etc. It all seems so old fashioned.
@AntiEVidiots There’s still professions that carry more trust than others, more influence, views carry more weight. A reminder to me the other day that this can be completely misplaced when a fireman was going on about Betamax/VHS, lithium running out, hydrogen future etc. Disappointing.
@RealismHelps@ProudBrit19@AndyatAuto Depends what you mean by “interest”, and what you want from a car. New tech is interesting, electrical engineering is interesting. Getting the best from an EV is interesting (in my opinion). Different is interesting.
@AntiEVidiots That’s the great thing these days, there’s SO many alternatives. I would certainly have looked at Model Y next year when renewing, but thinking Kia EV5 perhaps now.
@AntiEVidiots I saw this one. What I’m noticing though is the ratio of ill informed anti-EV comments v anti-BS comments (as in, it’s a F-ing diesel) seems to be improving slightly in favour of the latter. Compared to last year for example.
@Drummond224@MarkEvans1967@Drummond224, I kept my diesel for the same reason when I first got an EV. But v quickly stopped using the diesel - even for long m’way stuff. Charging infra is fine for long journeys in my exp. and a lot better than few years back.
@graeme_cobb I’m willing to take some flak on this, but I’m quite looking forward to seeing Kia’s EV5 in the UK as a replacement (upgrade) on my Niro EV (which I like a lot).
