being an autistic artist sucks mad balls cuz every time you get into a new hyperfixation you unintentionally become a gimmick account & yr followers only want that gimmick (twau in my case) so any time you get the courage to explore outside that gimmick you get kicked in the nuts
If it’s such a huge issue for Nagano they will say something. They don’t need keyboard warriors slaughtering an artist with like 3k followers to do it for them
I don’t stick my boxbird beak in discourse unrelated to my niche normally but as a former warrior cats artist I think the chiikawa themed fan merch discourse is kind of ridiculous and out of proportion
I understand it’s an individual artist behind chiikawa but at the same time it has become a large multimillion dollar brand and nothing is being taken from the artist by somebody making some (extremely obviously stated) chiikawa inspired merch
Every time someone says they love Snowby “especially” after reading Fables I raise an eyebrow. Obv I can understand why ppl ship game Snowby it’s fine. but the comic version… did you actually read it or did you just selectively read the cute looking panels you saw on Pinterest
@PleaseUnknown Yeah exactly like I fucking despise how bill keeps making these fantasy scenarios that “””justify””” Bigby’s behaviour. “They’re soulmates snow just doesn’t know what’s good for her” “they were under a spell” like ew ew ew
@Death0rchids I’ll never stop bringing it up because every time someone posts a Snowby fables panel an Angel dies. The amount of people who go to read fables after twau and are then either shocked or wilfully ignorant of the writing of those comics is astounding
what REALLY gets under my skin is that Bigby is never punished by the narrative for acting this way. Bc bill Willingham clearly doesn’t think anything he wrote Bigby doing was creepy. Bc he thinks it’s normal and healthy for a man to act that way towards a woman
people seem to love that gala scene but it was one of the things that put me off immediately. Bigby asking snow “why would you wear that if you didn’t want men to look at your cleavage” was like an immediate tell on what kind of person the author is
Fun fact it was originally supposed to be for this trend but halfway thru thumbnailing this the composition gave me inspo for version I qrted. Maybe I’ll come back and finish this one another time
