The redwood scene in Sir Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo (1958) was shot in Big Basin Redwoods State Park in the Santa Cruz Mountains, where they observe the Father of the Forest, a Sequoia Redwood (bottom right) on the Redwood Trail.
