Prof. Rocha Osornio is hosting the first cultural event of the year to stimulate students taking language courses and to expose them to the diversity of the Spanish-speaking world.

We're glad to share that some our students from the Advanced Spanish course (SPA320Y) have successfully completed their 20 hour placement at Collective65 as part of Community-Engaged Learning.
This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to practice their language skills while immersing themselves in the lives of extraordinary people of the Latino community of T.O. Thanks to father Maurice Francois from Parroquia San Esteban for guiding and inspiring our students.
Our community-engaged program in Advanced Spanish (SPA320Y) is about to end. There are only two more sessions left where students will learn about the transgendered community, as well as issues of immigration and language.
Prof. Juan Carlos Rocha Osornio being radio interviewed at Voces Latinas CHHA 1610AM with Martha Pinzón last Wednesday. He talked about the importance of learning Spanish and how he has incorporated community-engaged learning to help students achieve fluency in the language.
