@musicmumnshoes @andjamwar @LBC My education in that respect is from colleagues and curiosity. In my experience the statement that 'educated' means a tendency to vote left is largely true, it just doesn't need to mean having a degree.
@musicmumnshoes @andjamwar @LBC I'm not going to get into an argument with you, but just for a little perspective. I'm an electrician, my mate is a lecturer in construction (ex brickie). No degrees but decent further education, both voting 'left'. Compassionate, woke and concerned about the climate.
Dom Joly dropping a Glastonbury exclusive that Charlie Mullins from Pimlico Plumbers is doing the legends slot at the festival today.
The BBC will probably cut this from the schedule due to its honesty and criticism of Reform.
@GoodwinMJ You didn't ruffle any feathers, you puffed your chest out and offered nothing. Usual BS about small boat crossings, and secure borders - Reform fantasy land, promise everything and deliver nothing...
@footballforfans Ok which lies did they tell, and as I said in a previous answer many European countries have accepted more immigrants than the UK have...
@footballforfans I agree that the infrastructure might not be there but it's not the fault of the taxpaying immigrant is it? It's millionaires and billionaires that have used the UK to make themselves rich and then run away with our money, like Tice's missus.
@footballforfans The yellow peril was turned to good use in the early 20th century pitting the working classes against Chinese immigrants, the same is being done today by certain politicians. How much do actually know about immigration and asylum seekers - do you know anyone that is...?
@footballforfans Our European neighbours have had much higher levels of immigration but don't suffer quite the same, their public services do just that... funnily enough I do believe that underneath it all Labour are on my side but the challenges they face are enormous.
@footballforfans You've hit the nail on the head there, millions believe, no real facts - that's what Reform are banking on - that gave us the disaster of Brexit and more immigration! We struggle to get appointments because of chronic underinvestment in public services and austerity.
@footballforfans As I said before, millionaires for billionaires, their ambition is to make themselves billionaires. Watering down workers rights, social care, and the NHS is part of the playbook, don't kid yourself that they're on your side.
@footballforfans Tice is jumping on something that can make him a profit, his anti net zero posturing shows what a charlatan he is. It's like Rees-Mogg advocating for Brexit and then opening his investment business in Eire to capitalise on the chaos!
