SF later had the chance to support minor hockey teams like the Spiders but failed because of too much competition and indifference like the Seals did

@BigTPopo1 @BBGreatMoments Great and my point is the reason the Seals were not successful in the Bay Area is because SF and Oak fans and the local sports media dont care about hockey period This is why the NHL was fine with SJ as an expansion city because that city was dying for a big 4 franchise.

@BigTPopo1 @BBGreatMoments They like the Warriors moved to the Oakland Areana because there was no modern SF alternative to play in. Only choice was the Cow Palace which was crappy even then for sports. Had the Seals stayed in SF when they moved to the NHL, they still wouldnt have survived.

@26DrDeath Once the A's start playing in Vegas and not selling out every game, its going to be remarkable seeing how many of the politicians, influencers etc will deny that they said they would sell out every game . They will instead focus on the "value" of the team has increased
