If you’re just waking up and haven’t caught the news yet…
Reform UK lost two council by-elections to Labour last night in Thurrock.
I know Zia Yusuf and Nigel Farage won’t be tweeting about this one, so just making sure you’re all aware 😂😂😂
Congratulations England on securing a bronze medal at the FIFA World Cup – our best finish at a World Cup since 1966. 🥉
You’ve made the nation proud and inspired millions.
Argentina have repeatedly shown us everything football shouldn’t be.
Today France and England showed us what it should be.
No hate between players, no filthy fouls and trying to actually harm each other, no political statements, no favouritism, no disgusting behaviour from fans just the beautiful game.
Hello @ElonMusk. This is how you are perceived. Not too late to course correct but it’s getting pretty late. You certainly have the extra money on hand to really help the people of the world instead of the hellbent road of chaos and destruction you are ludicrously barreling down. Put down the Ket straw. 🤪
A positive way to end this World Cup. Congrats @BukayoSaka87 on a brilliant hat-trick! Thank you to everyone who has supported us here and at home. Time for a rest and a break. 🙌
Actor Sam Neill has sadly died aged 78. As well has being a fantastic actor, he regularly showed his love of nature and farming. Here he is with his beloved duck. A lovely man who understood the value of the simple things in life. RIP Sam Neill.
🚨 WATCH: Nigel Farage threatens a Sky News journalist who asks about his undeclared gifts from convicted criminal George Cottrell
"You harass my family anymore, there will be serious consequences"
13 men who allegedly helped a rapist drug and abuse his wife have been named
They include a paramedic and a former chief executive of a lower league football club https://t.co/iKMzG4A253
Friends, I need your help: is there any way to identify who is behind an account suggesting I will be lynched for saying I’m British?
“When you’re swinging from the end of a rope, will you have that smile on your face?”
🛑 Nigel Farage should resign and face criminalinvestigation.
I do not often speak publicly about the riots of 2024, because my family still carries the scars of what happened afterwards. My son was followed by a far-right thug who threatened to burn and kill him, before smashing up our car when my husband arrived to protect him.
So it is not lost on me that Nigel Farage has escalated from suggesting, in the wake of Southport in 2024, that the truth was being hidden from the public, to now explicitly calling for “pure, cold rage” in 2026.
We know where this kind of rhetoric leads. Calls like that, alongside Tommy Robinson’s calls for people to gather outside police stations, have been followed by violent disorder in our communities.
Tuesday night in Southampton, 11 police officers were injured, people were reportedly arrested for offences including possession of weapons and assaulting police, property was damaged, cars were smashed, and communities were left frightened and distressed.
This is not responsible leadership. This is not justice for victims. This is the politics of rage, hate and division, and it has real consequences in communities like ours, and for families like mine.
Nigel Farage is a dangerous politician. He is dealing in a mendacious, hate-fuelled style of politics that puts ordinary people at risk.
He should resign.
Just met a Reform UK voting couple who didn't know it opposed:
Rise in minimum wage
End of two-child benefit cap
Expansion of free school meals, free breakfast clubs
Help with school uniforms
Horrified that they would lose big from Reform
How many others voted without knowing?
