Lovely morning. 6 adults and a little one at our mid week eucharist then a chat with a potential ordinand all about liturgy and breadth in the Church. God is calling wonderful people to build unity and godly love back into the Church
Today I have fed the chickens, checked on mum &spent a while in prayer. About to launch into admin. What I really long to do is something new. Make Jesus Known here. Something that is outside of all the @#*! of the institution and simply about Jesus. Let Him rebuild our Church
Question: if there was a service of Holy Communion like midnight mass on New Year Eve would you go... I'm enjoying the HTB livestream worship but for me the eucharist is central. Great to see many people there. Would love to offer a mass to welcome NY one day!
We had our church families night out tonight. Bowling and burgers. Was fab. Amazing conversation and good company. I came last then 4th :) Church is about doing life together not simply services. What a joy β€οΈβοΈππ³
The Holy Family ready to greet our Carol Service folk later. This season is about hope and love in the darkest of places and times. Nothing and no one is beyond redemption but we have to say yes to the Christ child.
Been baking for our church Hope Cafe this morning. Love serving my Church and community. Praying for peace together was beautiful. Not many of us but as Jesus said where 2 or 3 are gathered and we did have 6! #realcofe loving, serving, making Jesus known. Happy Christmas π π
Amidst the doom and gloom our church is holding a Christmas market. I'm not posting much on here about all the church stuff going on because prayer is better use of my time. We are welcoming strangers, offering hope and telling people about Jesus. Be Priests not politicians π
Awaiting God is an important part of our journey of faith. Each day, the Lord visits us, speaks to us, reveals Himself in unexpected ways, and He will come again at the end of life and time. The Lord therefore urges us to stay awake, be vigilant, and persevere in waiting.
I pose a question that each of us can ask ourselves: Do I deprive myself of something to give to the poor? When I give alms, do I touch the hand of the poor and look them in the eye? Brothers and sisters, let us not forget that the poor cannot wait!
Did my first assembly today in a non church school. So much fun and real privilege. Not one child knew what a leek was though! Just thought I would remind the Anglican and non Anglican world that there is lots of positive things happening on the ground keeping Jesus real β€οΈ
Here is the next in our series of βHow I Prayβ videos π
Today we hear from Sister Heather Francis who for 50 years has served as part of The Order of the Holy Paraclete, an Anglican religious community for women in Whitby.
Enjoying life. Pretty awesome being a Priest. Loads of stuff done today including planning our first youth event so I can get to know everyone. Pizza Party at church yes please!
