(9) Harry Potter …, all seven of them, J.K. Rowling - Rowling knows how to spin a tale. I read this to connect with my kids, who became the readers that they are at least in part thanks to Ms. Rowling. I enjoyed the ride, but it was a long one.
My “top ten” book list 2025:
1. Angle of Repose, Wallace Stegner - It's an American story, and a personal story about hope and life together. It is a book to be read slowly. There's just so much depth and beauty.
(8) 9. How to Stay Married: The Most Insane Love Story Ever Told, Harrison Scott Key - I so respect Key for his vulnerability and openness. If you are struggling, or know anyone who is, this book is a great reminder that it is worth the fight to stay together.
