Lmao this old man from the mosque just said a few words in Arabic to my FIL then pulled out his wallet and shoved $100 in cash into baby Sparrow's car seat, where baby Sparrow was sitting. Just a generous tip for being a baby I guess?

@GianaBryne Yeah, luckily it was nothing as big as heart surgery! There are a lot of congenital heart issues in my family (baby Sparrow got a full workup in utero!), so I know how difficult and scary that can be.

Oh no baby Sparrow has been struggling with the transition from my mom to nanny and the nanny just asked me if he is generally a crier...and I had to find a delicate way to say, actually, he's usually very happy. I just said something about transitions being hard?

@GianaBryne Wow, that's some crazy experience! To be fair to her: 1) I'm not really translating the way she put it exactly 2) he recently has had a major medical procedure, so I think she's kind of sussing out whether or not he might be in pain 3) she's done a lot to reassure me for sure.

I know he's just struggling to get used to a new person when his parents and grandma aren't there. But it sucks for everyone involved. And I feel like I bait and switched the nanny because he was an angel on day 1 and I told her he generally is very happy.

Rey resigns with a "I'm out of here, motherfuckers" and normally cranky sullen Ben stands up and gives an incredibly heartfelt speech about how wonderful she is and how her brilliant work will be missed. Everyone else: "...wait did Rey even ever work with him?"

OMG the leadership guy I kind of hated just announced his resignation in the department meeting and a random staff member just made an impromptu emotional goodbye speech in front of everyone and God and I have terrible Zoom poker face.
