The meeting focused on sharing intelligence and enhancing cooperation in security and logistics planning.

🏔️🇮🇳 Treading the Unbeaten Path with the Indomitable Spirit of the Indian Army

As part of the 27th Kargil Vijay Diwas Commemorations, a mountaineering expedition to Chamser Kangri (6622 m) and Lungser Kangri (6666 m) was flagged off at Hall of Fame, Leh by the GOC, Dorje Division.

Undertaken in the rugged Trans-Himalayan region, the expedition embodies courage, endurance and the spirit of adventure. The team aims to become the first military expedition to scale both peaks, honouring the legacy of the bravehearts who made the supreme sacrifice in the service of the Nation.

@KesariDhwaj As far as I know, each armoured regiment has a large reconnaissance troop of 9 vehicles but not a full squadron. From the Bharatshakti article and video, it looks like this "half squadron" sized troop is being expanded into a full squadron.

P.S. This Indic naming trend is silly.

Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, #SouthernCommand, witnessed #ShauryaSquadron of the #IndianArmy in action during a high-tempo integrated mechanised manoeuvre exercise at #Babina Field Firing Ranges.

Pioneered by #WhiteTigerDivision of #SudarshanChakraCorps, #ShauryaSquadron represents a modern tactical construct for Multi-Domain Operations, drawing upon the AirLand Battle concept to integrate air and land capabilities across the depth of the battlespace through surveillance, manoeuvre and precision fires for faster decisions and decisive combat effect.

Fielded in a realistic battle environment, #ShauryaSquadron demonstrated the seamless integration of real-time surveillance assets with mechanised forces, attack helicopters, swarm strikes and coordinated firepower, enhancing battlefield awareness, compressing the sensor-to-shooter cycle and enabling swift, decisive battlefield response.

On culmination of the exercise, the Army Commander lauded the formation for exercising an innovative tactical capability aligned with the Indian Army’s ongoing transformation towards integrated and technology-driven warfighting. Interacting with the Squadron, he exhorted all ranks to remain professionally agile, technologically proficient and operationally aligned to deliver decisive effect across the full spectrum of Multi-Domain Operations.

@KesariDhwaj A similar anecdote: These days you can examine terrain on Google/Apple maps at a level unthinkable 15-20 years ago. I remember hunting down low level paper maps to get a sense of the topography in the general area of Siachen, Saltoro, etc. just to follow accounts of Meghdoot.
