I bet $BTC hits $110k before it retests $76.5k.
Y? The Fed is going from QT to QE for treasuries. And tariffs don’t matter cause “transitory inflation”. JAYPOW told me so.
I’ll expound on that in my next essay, that’s the TLDR for your TikTok peanut brain.
Stanley Druckenmiller is a name every investor should know. He ran Duquesne Capital for 30 years, averaging 30% annual returns with zero down years.
Let’s dive into his stock-buying criteria, recent performance, and tips!
I believe the market wants to squeeze up
I shorted the news yesterday as the market was buying into an obvious event (the only surprise would’ve been announcing BTC purchases without congressional approval). The down move cleared a bunch of OI
Now let’s look at the medium-term picture. We’re one of the largest perp MMs and we have been seeing a weird dynamic leaving us pretty net long over the last 2 wks:
- price goes up -> people short
- price goes down -> people short
(An easy heuristic to track this is to follow perp permium vs spot, MMs will usually be long if premium is neg for a sufficient time. Oversimplification bc OI/spot context also matter, but u get the idea)
Hyperliquid can also give some insight into positioning: global bias among largest traders has been overwhelmingly short over the last 2 wks (https://t.co/ZY5Sh97aFO)
Finally, I expect price to follow narrative, adding further reflexivity. If price goes up, Trump’s actions are now bullish, and more buyers pile in.
Inflation eats away at your yields.
This bull run has made that painfully clear.
Take $SOL, for example, as highlighted by @duonine:
• Market cap: $122B.
• Price: $258.For contrast, in 2021, the market cap was $75B—and the price was the same.
Now, $TIA:
• ATH market cap in January: $3.3B.
• Current market cap: $2.6B.
• Price in January: $20.
• Price now: $6.
Need more examples?
$SEI:
• ATH market cap: $2.8B.
• Current market cap: $2.25B.
• Price then: $1.03.
• Price now: $0.53.
$ARB:
• ATH market cap in March: $4.6B.
• Today: $3.8B.
• Price in March: $2.1.
• Price today: $0.8.
$TAO:
• Already surpassed its ATH market cap of $4.6B.
• Did the price hit a new ATH? Close, but not quite.
$ENA:
• Very close to its ATH market cap: $2.12B vs. $1.84B now.
• Price then: $1.49.
• Price now: $0.64.
The message is clear: start paying attention to inflation.
Altseason is already here, but most of the assets you’re holding are inflating at a crazy speed.
