As we know, the situation in Gaza is going from bad to worse.
I was in Ramallah this week where I spent time with my amazing @SavetheChildren colleagues who are trying to respond to the crisis in Gaza, but also to respond to needs for children in the West Bank.
This resonates with me. There is a lot to be gloomy about in the world, but over recent decades the numbers of deaths from conflict, famine and disaster have fallen, global commitment to aid has grown and its effectiveness is improving all the time.
