@aleclastra presenting at #chest2022 about interesting PAP downloads. Great talk showing the power of having data that other disease states don’t have available.
Thanks to @TheAACE organizing committee to inviting to talk on sleep and cardiometabolic risk. #Sleep is an important an area to talk to patients with cardio metabolic risk as there may be important therapeutic targets. #LifeEssential8@UHhospitals
@Brandon_Nokes @Srpatelmd@ATSSRN Certainly messy with many factors that could interact with each other - sleep duration, sleep apnea severity, sleep apnea endotypes, innate propensity for sleepiness, arousal frequency, etc. Ultimately, more RCTs of OSA and effects on CVD are needed to know whom to treat.
@united#flight1589 Disappointed to see the gate agent first state no bags in group 5, then change her mind and say no more in group 4. Only to find out there was TONS of space on the plane. Better communication with in flight team needed. Disappointed.
@EiranGorodeski Thanks for the opportunity to come and talk - HF and Sleep Apnea - important we get it right in how best to co-manages these disorders given their reciprocal interactions!
Visuals of sleep apnea. On top OSA, intermittent pauses in breathing but thorax and abdomen muscle function continues. Central apnea in middle, with pauses in flow but also pauses in thorax and abdomen function. Cheynne-Stokes on bottom. Susheel Patil @spatilmd#HeartFailureGRs
