If one takes a comprehensive view of taxation in the US, here’s the picture that emerges:
All social groups pay broadly the same effective tax rate today – around 25%-30% of income, all taxes included – with billionaires having the lowest tax rate: 24% on average in 2018–20.

@mcuban@NBAOfficial Nesmith and Nembhard literally did the same thing all series to Shai. If your point is it should be a foul then I could be on board, but if it's that the Thunder get away with this more than others you're joking
There are so many ways to build great NBA teams.
Attracting megastars like Pat Riley.
Making brilliant supporting trades like the Celtics.
Being the Lakers.
But I don't know if any of them are as philosophically, spiritually rewarding as how Sam Presti did.
OKC:
- valued the regular season, took it seriously, competed almost every night
- valued defense, played at an elite level
- shares the ball, even with SGA's style, everyone gets touches
- plays unselfishly
- had to build things the right way by trading stars and being patient
- took swings on winning players.
This is a story worth rooting for if you are not a rival.
If you are a rival, by all means, hate them, that's good sports hate. But this is a phenomenal story of a team doing what everyone wants their team to do and actually MAYBE POSSIBLY JUST ONE TIME KNOCK ON WOOD having it work out instead of fortune favoring the markets.
Richard Jefferson says SGA told him that no one cared when he was taking 11 free throws per game on a 10th seed, but now that he’s taking 9 a game and sending everyone’s favorite player home, people suddenly care 🥶

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ranks 23rd in free throw attempts among players who averaged 30+ PPG since 2005 — and just 10th among the last 20 MVPs
Maybe the ‘foul merchant’ talk is overblown 😬
