In 15 years states will be scratching their heads wondering why they didn’t build more of the magic buildings full of computers that throw off millions in property taxes while consuming minimal water and helping pay for the modernization of the electric grid

@seffikogen That's not what this graph shows Seffi! This is about weighted prevalence. What it actually shows is for every 100 Moshe's born, 97 of them will be born in blue states while only 3 will be born in red states
same people will complain about the rising cost of living and inflation six months later, after 14% of global shipping has been redirected around the horn of africa
It's really striking that colleges which put more emphasis on academic credentials rather than "wholistic admissions," like Chicago and MIT, are much less likely to favor the super-rich.
Wholistic admissions is a scam that pretends to serve noble goals while favoring the elite.
I think people miss how remarkable it is that Cambridge and Oxford consistently get ranked higher than most of the Ivy Leagues despite having a fraction of the financial endowments. If Cambridge were an Ivy it would only be the 6th wealthiest.

Hottest day on record for Rome, Italy with a staggering 42.9°C

Let me set the record straight about Israel as a multiracial democracy based on nearly a decade to traveling to the region.
Jewish and Arab citizens enjoy equal protection under the laws, including an equal right to vote in Israeli elections.
There is Arab representation in both the Knesset and the Israeli Supreme Court.
There is disproportionate Arab representation in the Israeli health care system, which is central to Israeli life.
Arab matriculation in Israeli higher education has been rising at an astonishing pace—an unmistakable sign of racial progress.
Every multiracial country, including our own, has complicated race relations, but the Israeli story, much like the American story, is one of progress rather than perfection.
Show me a country whose race relations are beyond reproach, and I will show you utopia, which literally means ‘no place.’
Listening to the Christian web designer case and wondering if she interviews all opposite sex couples and asks if either has been previously divorced. Or if anyone has a porn addiction. I wonder if she asks if they’re cohabitating! Or if they’ve gone to third base.
Wild that the US is spending like a quarter of a Trillion dollars to subsidize domestic semiconductor production, China is spending like $150B, the EU is mobilizing like €43B, and the UK is striking back with...£1B
I can't get over this tweet. She's the granddaughter of a longtime member of the US House, she's married to a serial entrepreneur who ran talent acquisition on the Clinton campaign, she's got a household income of like $300,000, and she was on Crain's 40 under 40 list in 2019
At times I think Britain's young would be best served by going Galt. Get out to a state that isn't actively opposed to your life chances.

Britons currently have the worst access to healthcare *in Europe*.
The NHS (and the government) need journalistic scrutiny, not quasi-religious indulgence.
my only tweet about the submersible is that these "you only care because they're rich white men" pieces are dumb https://t.co/usqzEIQHeJ we cared re Thai cave boys and Chilean miners, who weren't white or rich. It's "people stuck with time running out" that's compelling
