storygraph vs goodreads discourse stops for me where storygraph asks if i think “character flaws are a main focus” in a review. the app itself is nice but the obsession with hyper-categorized tags and statistics just does not gel well with the way i interact with literature lol
Pope Leo XIV: “It is, therefore, not enough to state simply that men and women have equal dignity and rights; it is necessary that this be reflected in concrete decisions, such as in laws, access to employment, education, social and political responsibilities, and the way society listens to and values women’s contributions. As long as this gap persists, we cannot say that society truly and fully recognizes that women have the same dignity as men.”
unfortunately robby & samira’s dynamic in this episode is exactly what i find so incredibly interesting about both of them as characters. they’re perfect mirrors. robby sees himself in samira & he hates himself. when he shouts at her it’s like he’s also saying it to himself.
