@_danielrosado @trippfuller Or what if the father of the daughter at the end was named Cobb. Or if the father at the wedding was JC. Really missed out on a opportunity there.
I finally got around to watching Road to Edmond. It was the most @trippfuller movie I could imagine. I’m only disappointed that you didn’t find a way to put John Cobb’s name in there somewhere. You could’ve at least given him a street name or something.
This morning while pouring coffee I was reminded of a time when I was 6 or 7, walking to a park in The Ravenseood neighborhood of Chicago, and saw a man sleeping under a bench. On our walk back we realized he was dead. First responders were rolling him over. He was rigid.
Most early Saturday mornings are a struggle between spending time on my own writing, or baking something for my family to enjoy when they wake up. I refuse to attempt to do both at the same time. It feels dishonoring to both Muses to multitask.
I listened to an interview with @BayoAkomolafe where he mentioned the phrase trans-parenting in the context of parenting across the adult/child dichotomy. I feel that deeply. There’s so much that I am being taught by my daughters. There are moment when they raise me.
“The sacred is not an addition. We are not approaching the sacred. The approach is the sacred. We live in a world that is always becoming, always flowing.” -@BayoAkomolafe
@jonestony Just finished listening to the episode. So glad you pushed for the last question about agency. Interesting that while acknowledging the mystery, he falls on the side of anthropocentrism. Great episode.
