Why is Windows and Windows applications so shockingly bad at cleaning up after itself?
I can find upwards of 50GB of cache files, patches, log files, none of which are necessary.
Do developers really think that disk space is unlimited?
I have to say the AI assistant on the @WesternDigiCare website is missing the "I" in AI.
I just typed, "How do I get a receipt or invoice", and its response was, "I think you want warranty, is that correct?"
How does that possibly make any sense?
@NoMoreNoLss@dannybuck Ok, speaking as someone with a degree in Physics, this is not a breakthrough. SpaceX have been doing this kind of thing for years - that was a breakthrough when they did it with rockets.
This is a gimmick, plain and simple.
@DrNeilStone@elonmusk Except it's not.
Hawker Siddely demonstrated the first untethered P.1127 (forerunner to the Harrier Jump Jet) in 1960. The Harrier went into production nearly 60 years ago and was actually useful.
This is just a gimmick.
@RoyalMail clearly exists in a different temporal dimension from the rest of us.
My package, which was dispatched as 48-hour tracked delivery, still hasn't moved from where it was dropped off after four days (which, by my calculation, is 96 hours)...

I can only begin to imagine what the late Steve Jobs would have said if a designer had come to him and said:
"We've decided that the best place to put the power switch for the Mac Mini is underneath, at the back. We want it to be different!"
Genuinely incomprehensible idea.
@free_democrat@tomhfh The reality is the only way Thatcher achieved that was by selling off all of our infrastructure (water, electricity, post office, trains, etc.)
That works once, but is not a long term solution, because, pretty quickly, you run out of assets.
Weโre now reaping what she sowed.
