@TheHuntsladyMHW@NoTopicsToday@trubakiwi It’s not really the peripherals, it’s the cut that consoles get from their storefronts. You can load a steam machine with windows and never use steam for anything
@STYKOcs@SPUNJ@CounterStrike Turn on FSR and it works anywhere there’s a smoke next to a wall. It’s been a thing since the game’s been out. Kind of wild how it’s just now being abused
@stuhutch2@BentonBurnerAcc@deadlockua Celeste’s ultimate was one of Boho’s normal abilities (different stats ofc)
They’ve wanted a more acrobatics style character for a while. There was one that gave stat buffs when doing wall jumps and bounces etc. But that was a dancer style character. I forget the name
@Soup_of_Truth@NikTek Skyrim’s charm is only good because of the time it released in. People hated starfield in part because it didn’t improve from Skyrim. Why are we doing hard loading screens every time you open a door? If ESVI is Skyrim 2.0 it’ll get a lot of flack, for good reason
@DaMonstuh9530@AnnaDVana@chippel So they had a plan for the future and it took a few years to implement in a proper way. Idk why people think game dev is just immediate work. Especially at their scale at the time. It doesn’t really matter if notch himself coded it if he set the stones in place to do so
@DaMonstuh9530@AnnaDVana@chippel I don’t think Notch is good as a person and I don’t care about the developer aspect, but that list seems pretty on-par for an indie dev announcing stuff sooner than it should be announced. Pretty much everything on that list was simply reworked into something else
@popcap06@TealBaron@TheRealShiere How do you go about making a rule against this? They didnt utilize a bug or anything. This is valve’s doing. You can’t blame a competitor for noticing stuff like that and going for it. It would be legal in an actual valve-sponsored match just the same
@SeijoSeiSama@gabefollower Because all of your reasons for why the game isn’t “actually competitive” are wrong. Separate queues and rewards are not indicative of what makes a competitive game. Counter-strike has neither. A game that’s already released doesn’t fit your definition of a competitive game.
@TheCS2Historian@StushRush_ He said “likely” this week, that’s barely scheduled. It dropped at the last possible day in the evening. What if both delayed to next week?
And the dota thing is relevant because when valve manages tournaments pros will have to deal with the same exact problems then as well
@SeijoSeiSama@gabefollower So what? There are no rewards for being the highest rank in counter-strike either. That’s not how valve rolls. Your criteria doesn’t make sense. Any competitive game will have a competitive scene. Valve can just ignore the whiny tweets, it’s not that serious
@TheCS2Historian@StushRush_ What are you talking about “scheduled patch”? They don’t know what’s in it nor when it’s coming
Also, this is nothing new to dota apparently, where valve with their own events will shake the game up very soon before the event itself
