Rob den Teuling put on arXiv his first paper in which we derive (semi)-analytical expressions for magnon spectra in mono- and bilayers of a 2D van der Waals layered antiferromagnet CrSBr: https://t.co/EuEubfKmFA

First time experience to sit in two master graduation committees on the same day. Congratulations to the candidates, Tim and Anton, and the supervisors, Toeno, @spectecals , Ronald, @EliskaGreplova , and Vinicius.
Grateful & humbled to be awarded a #Veni fellowship from @NWOFunding. I aim to capture the #dance of #magnets in the atomic scale. In technical language: to image spin waves in #2D#materials. I’m excited to start with @mhdguimaraes at @ZernikeInst !
NWO has awarded Veni funding of up to EUR 280,000 to 188 promising researchers from the full breadth of science. This will allow the laureates to further develop their own research ideas over the next three years.

Congratulations to our VENI laureates from this round: Heng Wu will study non-reciprocal superconductivity in two-dimensional structures in the lab of @SolidStChemist and Samer Kurdi will go to Groningen to @mhdguimaraes lab to build a novel tool for real-time imaging of magnets.
Michael Borst and van der Sar lab put a new article on arXiv today. They explain how the spectrum of spin waves in a ferromagnetic film can be controlled by a superconducting gate above the film and how scattering of spin waves can be induced by laser: https://t.co/EIBLJ8MkPS
A new paper of Michael Borst and Toeno van der Sar Lab, with my minor theoretical contribution, on arXiv today. It shows how one can control magnons using a superconducting gate - a task which would be impossible with a normal gate. https://t.co/GUxv4J3L6B
Day 1 of visiting several #labs and giving a few #talks in #Germany. 1st up @mpifkf ! Their state of the #art noise free infrastructure involves 100 tonnes of concrete blocks set on air springs!!
The latest issue of Nano Letters is live! On the cover: "Filtering and Imaging of Frequency-Degenerate Spin Waves Using Nanopositioning of a Single-Spin Sensor"

@msanwar476@NanoLetters@QuantumNanoTUD Thanks! It’s a single spin sensor with spin dependant photoluminescence. You can find a nice review here: https://t.co/iMslUylZAU
