The Israeli meltdown over a potential Iran-U.S. deal is happening across their political spectrum, with a major focus on Lebanon.

They are openly furious at the possibility that they may no longer have a free hand to bomb Lebanon whenever they want.

But it’s not only Israel’s most ardent supporters who are pissed.

Lebanese factions aligned with Washington are also upset because they viewed Israeli military aggression against the south as a way to crush their domestic political rival, Hezbollah, after failing to defeat it politically or democratically. It’s like Israeli bombs became their extreme version of gerrymandering.

Nothing exposes the true nature of this alliance more than watching people who constantly lecture about “sovereignty” make excuses for a foreign military devastating their own country in order to reshape its internal politics, and then cry when Iran attempts to stop the bombs.

You know a deal is probably moving in the right direction when some of the worst people in the world are furious about the prospect of it.
