@Teacher_Fulton It's unfortunate, but it's fixable. We educators—especially in higher ed, but also in admin, policy, and even psych—need to base recommendations on strong evidence. Ask and tell #HowDoWeKnow? @SpecialEdToday@JohnWillsLloyd

My husband was recently diagnosed with stage iv pancreatic cancer. We are fortunate to have incredible care at UVA. PC is often caught far too late leaving many patients with inoperable tumors. More awareness, funding, and research is needed for early detection and treatment.
@emily_ladau@Marriott Thanks for calling this out. Too many times corporations get away with discrimination and the public needs to hear about those instances
@DOCJTTAYLOR Ugh. Is this the result of our education system inadequately preparing future legislators to realize what is required to help our society advance?

@PatHarty@IowaWBB Women's hoops is well worth watching. They may not dunk routinely; some shooting is funky, but they know how to run plays, execute offensively & defensively...seen UVA games since the late '80s, early '90s...seen some great hooping.
Always have two, @ELindstromPhD. So much easier than ferrying one back and forth...but now that I only work at home, I just have one nice spiral bound version.
@amandavande1 Good one, @amandavande1! My dissertation of whole-word & a sound-it-out corrections for reading nonsense words was a bust. I got no main effects or effects on whether Rf contingencies interacted with the two procedures.
I figured, 'OK, that's that study' and went on to others.
Any time is a good time for sparkle, as @betsytalbott1 and @johnwillslloyd can confirm, but if it's with your dog? That's a new one on me, but I like it.
Is there any theory (or even better—evidence!) to suggest it’s better to help children who are learning multiplication to think of 3x4 as “three groups of four” versus “four groups of three”? (yes, I know they are equivalent) #mathchat#mathed@jnc_mcls@mpershan

@NateJones_BU Acronyms drive me crazy. SWD,especially those with ASD, who experience MTSS get BO after 2 yrs, especially when the acronyms are used 2-3 times in the entire manuscript...sigh.
