Our students wrote beautiful poetry on Monday. One shared his dream of being an engineer. One shared his dream of having a wife.
They love unconditionally. They dream unconditionally.
They could teach our “leaders” so much.
My autistic students dream of being engineers, husbands, & prof. athletes.
My autistic students play sports, design their own characters, & write poetry.
All of this shared & accomplished in 4 DAYS.
In our class, we are FAMILY. Autism did not break anything. It made a family.
RFK JR: And these are kids who will never pay taxes, they'll never hold a job, they'll never play baseball, they'll never write a poem. They'll never go out on a date. Many of them will never use a toilet unassisted
NC Supt. Mo Green says need to increase the number of counselors & other mental health professionals in schools. He says those positions are needed to help provide students w/ constitutional right to a uniform system of free public schools. #nced#ncpol#EggsandIssues25
