Did you see every single piece of evidence? Were you there to witness everything that happened? Did you interview everyone that witnessed it? You can not say yes to any of that. The defense only had to convince 1 juror. But they were not able to with the evidence and witnesses. Even some of the defense witnesses were not completely on the defense side. Let alone why would a student bring a knife to a school event. Any weapons are illegal on school grounds or at school events. So he broke the law as soon as he stepped on school grounds with the knife.
