The Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) is a peaceful advocacy group that has been tirelessly working towards promoting peace, humanity, and equality in the region. Since its establishment, PTM has organized thousands of peaceful gatherings and demonstrations, all of which have been conducted without any incidents of violence. The movement and its supporters deeply believe in non-violent means to advocate for their rights and address the issues faced by the Pashtun community.

Unfortunately, the Pakistani government has resorted to aggressive actions against peaceful protesters, especially those associated with PTM. Just recently, during a planned peaceful Jirga or tribal gathering, the protesters were subjected to a violent attack resulting in the tragic loss of four lives and injuries to ten others. This heinous act of aggression against unarmed civilians is a clear violation of human rights and a blatant display of the authoritarian measures employed by the Pakistani authorities.

We strongly condemn the actions of the Pakistani government and call upon the international community, social organizations, and all peace-loving individuals to stand in solidarity with PTM during this critical time. It is imperative that we speak out against such injustices and lend our support to those who are courageously advocating for peace and justice in the face of adversity.

I urge you to raise awareness about this situation, mobilize support within your networks, and join us in condemning the violent actions of the Pakistani government. Together, we can amplify the voices of those fighting for peace and justice and ensure that such atrocities are not repeated.
