@AnthonyDiComo He has a political science degree and was taught to speak like a politician: no accountability for mistakes of the past and nonsense sunshine and rainbows for the future. And the writers don’t have the guts to call him out for it.
@raisingx4@VinnysCorner1 I would argue the pitching nowadays isn’t probably worse, it’s significantly worse. No idea how to set up hitters, no idea how to read swings. It’s all just throw it, or spin it, as hard as possible.
@JustinCLeto@Mets He doesn’t just value analytics over intangibles, he has no concept what intangibles are! This is a man who traded the best reliever in baseball off a first place team, ended up destroying the clubhouse and missing the playoffs because of it, and learned NOTHING from it.
@TalkinBaseball_ They have a problem with it in the 6th inning?! Man, what a bunch of cunts ballplayers are now. First Jansen, now these clowns. “We’re winning, you’re supposed to stop trying now!!”
@JonHeyman@Feinsand Fine. They need trade capital for this winter. Half the prospects they get back in trades aren’t intended to ever see a day in a Mets uniform.
@AnthonyDiComo As he should be. Get what you can get for him now, maybe re-sign him in the winter when he’s a FA. His only value to the Mets this season is as a trade piece.
@roselleavenue@Metsmerized Fascinating, isn’t it? I know a few people who have worked for him in his day job. How he runs the Mets is the complete opposite of how he runs his hedge fund. Stearns wouldn’t last 10 minutes at point72, yet he’s given carte blanche with the Mets.
