@AlonsistaHLM@amrf1insights Yes there are. C1.5 says that the car must be legal at all times. But another article says that checks are only done at ambient temp and it's 16.1 as the rules state. I agree this is abusing the rules but if things change when hot is not in the rulebook.
@AlonsistaHLM@amrf1insights Yes but there are contradictions. You can'tsay one thing in one chapter and say another in the following chapter. Mercedes are right, the design are legal.
This reminds me of Michael Masi scandal-there is a rulebook to follow but he also had Overriding Authority?¿
@amrf1insights Again it brings the discussion about Wording VS Spirit. Yes, Mercedes went agains the spirit of the regulations but also complied with the wording. So how do we proceed?
@amrf1insights F1 is all about efficiency and small gains in all areas and attention to details. If people in all thse departments put that extra effort, this team will win in 2026. Championship I don't know but being a front runner is already a huge step in the right direction.
Unless 2026 mirrors 2014, when Ferrari, Renault and Honda struggled with hybrid development, Mercedes won’t have it easy.
By 2021, rivals had already matched and even surpassed Mercedes in raw power — and power alone is no guarantee of success, unless substantial.
Let's see.
Does that look like someone who supposedly will retire at the end of 2026?
Alonso is able to extract every bit of performance out of that car, then add a few more tenths out of his own account.
Give him a decent car and he'll do the rest.
2026🔥💯

I expect Honda to deliver a competitive PU, but many overlook the crucial role of fuel suppliers.
It's long been reported that Aramco is leading the way in sustainable fuel development, which could significantly influence performance.
I think there will be surprises!
@MV33Racing I think he should wait and see how competitive are Ferrari and Aston Martin in 2026. Only then decide but one thing is true, Ferrari hasn't won in almost 20 years and they seem a mess right now! I'm sure Charles knows the situation for 2026.
🚨| With manufacturing already underway, Aston Martin expects to homologate the 2026 chassis on the FIA Crash Test by early December.
Weight-reduction measures and innovative solutions in design and materials were employed, thus passing the test would constitute a major step!
@Jane_ahib Very misleading and inaccurate! Who brakes standing up with no support? F1 drivers are sit very tight yet comfortably. When braking, the weight shift forward giving it extra pressure on the pedal and most importantly, they use the seat to press the pedal harder.
Aston Martin is pushing hard to bring the weight close to the minimum (768kg).
Benefits?
✅️ Each 10kg = ~0.3 tenths
✅️ Faster acceleration
✅️ Shorter braking distance
✅️ More agility
✅️ Tyre preservation
✅️ Qualifying edge
✅️ Setup flexibility
✅️ Fuel efficiency
Team LH I am humbly requesting a cease fire, and your urgent assistance and mentorship in leaking emails or whatever the fuck you guys did at Mercedes, CAUSE EXCUSE ME????
“Talk less and drive more” to a 7 time champion and one of the best drivers of the modern era 😭
🚨| "[...] Honda are understood to be making solid progress. As it stands, Honda are better placed than anyone else to keep Mercedes honest with their power units. Critically, there is reason to believe Honda could be their closest challengers." 😏
@Qvist_Designs@Air_Shaper Good that you added some rake but that alone is not enough as the car will lower under load unless the suspension is really stiff which I assume won't be the case with this new regulation. We will probably see some extreme angles similar to RedBull 2021 i.e.
