ICYMI 👉 Many big banks (and even some ISPs) are enrolling customers in voice-based over-the-phone authentication, an identification method with major security and privacy shortcomings. Article: https://t.co/yUS6Z5H0mW Discussion: https://t.co/h5BAijpAuj 🧵:
Hey @wholemars, yes, I can explain it to you. It is now a year later, and they never did it again.
That's why it's just "smoke and mirrors".
You are welcome.
After drawing down the SPR by ~180M barrels, the Biden administration began refilling it by purchasing ~60M barrels over two years.
The current administration slowed that to ~1M barrels in its first year.
SPR purchases by year:
2023: 15.3M
2024: 45.2M
2025: 0.9M
2026: 0
this fiasco will be remembered as one of the single most disastrous chapters of American history. we gained nothing, butchered scores of US soldiers & Iranian schoolgirls, cratered the global economy, alienated all our allies, and taught the mullahs they possess an economic nuke
Staggering that the NYT reports Trump/Miller are plotting to suspend habeas corpus (i.e. end the constitution) & by the end of the day it's treated as a non-story, not anywhere near top of major news' outlets websites.
The odds of the OSS ecosystem existing in a permanent state of compromise have risen dramatically this year. (still not close, but the explosion in supply chain attacks is concerning) https://t.co/3OAzgYEF5b

A UAE investor secretly gave Trump $187 million and his top Middle East envoy $31 million. And then Trump gave that investor access to sensitive defense technology that broke decades of national security precedent.
Brazen, open corruption. And we shouldn't pretend it's normal.
I honestly wonder who thought it was a good idea, on the anniversary of D-Day, to have a speech in which the Secretary's own ideology is set in metaphorical parallel to the Nazis opposing the beaches being stormed on D-Day.
This is so insanely corrupt, I can’t even believe it.
More than half the donors to Trump’s $400 million White House ballroom just won over $50 billion in new federal contracts in six months.
And here’s the part that should make your blood boil.
Sixteen of these 27 donors were facing federal enforcement actions, antitrust reviews, labor cases, securities charges. Many of those cases have been quietly dropped or scaled back since Trump took office. You write a check, your legal problems disappear. That’s not a coincidence.
The White House won’t even release the full donor list. They’re hiding it on purpose, because daylight is the one thing pay-to-play can’t survive. A federal judge already ruled ballroom construction has to stop until Congress authorizes it.
Government is supposed to serve the people, not auction itself off to the highest bidder. When access goes to whoever pays the most, working families always end up paying the price.
We either end the corruption, or the corruption will end us.

a grand total of 0 of these articles mention the context that Binance paid $4B in 2023 to settle with the US over violations of sanctions on Iran and that Trump pardoned CZ in 2025 after shady financial entanglements with his crypto ventures/coins like USD1. And that the US suspended its probe of Binance's ongoing $1B in transactions to sanctioned entities after Trump's CZ pardon. ( https://t.co/3YsXiJE4iJ ) Only one mentions Binance at all. 😑 is the corruption too much to keep track of?
#BREAKING: Psaki: “…I have to start tonight with a story that in any other administration, would be grounds for opening an impeachment inquiry, because today ProPublica reported that the White House intervened to get a $620 million deal for a company tied to President Trump’s adult son @DonaldJTrumpJr…the deal in question involved a startup focused on rare earth magnet production called Vulcan Elements and last Summer, Don Jr’s venture capital firm took an undisclosed stake in that company, and wouldn’t you know…three months later, the Pentagon announced that it was giving Vulcan Elements a $620 million loan.”🙄🤦♀️
NYT out with a jaw dropping investigative report on the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. 60 Minutes reported last Sunday on some of this, too. The NYT report is a must-read, the 60 Minutes report should then be watched. 1/3
Morning everyone.
Do you know that your President just exempted himself, his family, and all his family's companies from our tax laws?
You are subject to the law. Now he is not.
No one should not pretend this is okay or normal. It's an ongoing constitutional crisis.
