After nearly two decades in Afghanistan, it’s time to recognize that we have accomplished all that we can militarily, and bring our remaining troops home. I support @POTUS’s bold leadership in building our nation at home and restoring our standing around the world.
@xxneg@dansdekris Just remember DPO is about opening a company up to the public (public recognition in their future potential goes far) and not about raising capital. Everything is logical from there.
@xxneg@dansdekris Exactly. But public investor’s will offer higher bids above mkt price when the company is expected to grow. Some existing shareholders will sell when offered above mkt price. DPO isn’t for purposes of raising capital - just direct shareholder to public exchange of shares.
@xxneg@dansdekris Anyone can put in a buy offer. Shareholders (like Coinbase employees who were given 100 shares before the DPO) can choose to change hands at that price or not. Essentially, if you’re not up in their ballpark range of what they want - they will pick a higher offer or just hold.
@xxneg The initial listing price in a DPO is based on investor demand(pre-determined before opening based on offers) + existing shareholder supply—i.e., market price as opposed to a pre-determined amount in an IPO. The existing shareholders are in control, offers may go through or not.
