@vurnt22 Only got to see him live once (at MSG) on the But Seriously tour, incredible show and band, impeccable showman. And his drumming was great, would have loved to see him in Brand X in person.
@Mikehomeseller Jerry Marotta, his work with Peter Gabriel was groundbreaking. Playing with early samples, sequences, and removing all his cymbals doesn’t get the recognition it warrants.
@vurnt22 Yes, agreed, thanks for the thoughts. I always thought the rest of the band didn’t get enough credit, some really creative playing and combinations of styles.

RIP Trumpeter Herb Robertson (Feb. 21st, 1951 - Dec. 10th, 2024) who died age 73. His activity since early '80s w/@screwgub Mark Helias, Joe Fonda/Michael Jefry Stevens Grp, dozen+ albums as leader/co-leader revealed Robertson to be one-of-a-kind. See March '09 TNYCJR feature...
