This 2016 story (via @IPM_HQ) shows why the left is sick of establishment "bipartisan" politics.

Wow, weird how the same people who said they wanted "peaceful protests" are now Very Upset at NBA players for protesting in literally the most peaceful way possible
These are the people I was with last night. We literally ran through so many supplies because of how horrible the injuries were. Tonight the protests continue!! PLEASE SHARE AND DONATE SO WE CAN GET MORE SUPPLIES!!! https://t.co/BkAJw6STp9
With the Bucks boycotting Game 5, read Sterling Brown's story about his experience with the Milwaukee police: "The city of Milwaukee wanted to give me $400,000 to be quiet after cops kneeled on my neck, stood on my ankle, and tased me in a parking lot." https://t.co/O3KwUy6m3Y
Kenosha PD are so incompetent they have to rely on 17-year olds to " resolve " conflict? How come Jacob Blake gets shot 7 times and Eric Garner gets strangled to death whilst both were legitimately resolving conflicts in their communities? But the white kid is arrested unharmed?
And now the Lakers and the Portland Trailblazers will not be playing their game tonight. Let's get our terminology on point: that would be a "double-wildcat-political-strike for racial justice."
The only reason there's a curfew is to silence dissent & BLM protests. If cops weren't killing people like unhinged lunatics & refusing to take action there wouldn't be any outcry. Still no word on whoever thought it's reasonable to put 7 bullets in Jacob Blake & paralyze him.
Violating the curfew is what got two people killed, according to Kenosha Police Chief Dan Miskins.
Not a 17-year old white supremacist from out of state with an illegal firearm or police inaction. He was there to "resolve" conflict (by executing two people), apparently.
One of the warning signs that a country is tipping from democracy into open fascism is the open collaboration between police and right wing paramilitaries. This phenomenon could be observed in Germany, Spain, Italy, Chile, Indonesia, and elsewhere.
Now it has happened here.
Everybody keeps calling this a boycott. The Bucks are not boycotting anything, they're withholding their labor, otherwise known as a strike. Call it what it is.
I've been calling what the Milwaukee Bucks are doing a "boycott." I'm now convinced that the proper terminology is "strike". It's a strike for racial justice.
