I love this. After reading the book, I think Leo playing Shiherlis is imperative to the success of the sequel. Stephen Graham will crush it, no doubt. Bale's Hanna is hard to picture right now for me.
Didn't visualise Wardell looking like Driver at all but I'm here for it.
New character details for Michael Mann’s ‘HEAT 2’ have reportedly been revealed:
• Leonardo DiCaprio in talks to play Chris Shiherlis
• Christian Bale in talks to play Vincent Hanna (role equivalent to Al Pacino)
• Stephen Graham in talks to play Neil McCauley (role equivalent to Robert De Niro)
• Adam Driver interested in playing the main antagonist, Otis Lloyd Wardell

Martin Scorsese has joined a generative AI startup as a partner and advisor.
He adds that he has used AI during pre-production to help with storyboarding — “with this tool, I can share what I’m visualizing more clearly & efficiently to my creative team — the production designer, art designer and cinematographer.”

Everybody hates it when people pretend to know more about film than they actually do and everyone also hates it when you are honest about your level of film knowledge lol
I'd say anything that exceeds 2h15m is long & anything shorter than 1h45m is short. Everything in between is pretty regular.
A movie should be as long as whoever making it wants it to be.
