A lot of men want mother-love from women they’re romantically involved with.
They want to be accepted as-is, endlessly forgiven, emotionally carried, and loved without having to grow.
Putting this ring on that I’ve been asking for, for Months the very first time. Except it’s the wrong way round. Hmm. Some sort of poetry can be wrtten about that im sure.
I used to think communication was the most important part of a relationship. Now I think reciprocation might be. I show up for you, you show up for me. I nurture you, you nurture me. I respect you, you respect me. I make an effort, you make an effort. Love feels different when you’re not constantly wondering whether you’re the only one carrying it.
