Oscar De La Hoya is desperate. Golden Boy really has two major names left: Vergil Ortiz Jr. and Ryan Garcia.
Vergil only has 3 fights left under Golden Boy, and is currently shelved by GBP.
Ryan Garcia is tied to Saudi Arabia, and his Golden Boy contract will be coming to an end.
On top of that, Golden Boy’s recent DAZN shows have been trash. The Oscar Collazo card was horrible.
There is a reason Bob Arum, Oscar De La Hoya, and Al Haymon were not part of the conversation. Zuffa Boxing is the future of American boxing.
For Bob Arum to call Dana White a “cancer” to the sport is ironic, considering he paid the IBF to manipulate their rules and rankings to benefit his fighters.
In my opinion, the WBO stands for “What Bob Orders” these days.
Right now, the Zuffa Boxing product is light-years ahead of what Golden Boy, Top Rank, and PBC are putting out.
I completely understand where you’re coming from, but for a lot of gamers physical discs are the only way they could afford to play games because they could get them secondhand. You can also give games to your younger siblings Which is a great way to introduce them to the games you were playing.
Most importantly though, as we saw from PlayStation this past week, if the media we buy is only digital, it can be taken away from us at a moment’s notice with no recourse. Imagine that, one day your entire library of games could be deleted overnight because technically you don’t own it.
Sony is currently charging $70 for God of War Ragnarok digitally. It is $32 at Wal-Mart. The game is 4 years old.
People will no longer have options after 2028 and will HAVE to go directly to Sony’s digital storefront and pay whatever PlayStation says.
This is how you know the Zuffa Boxing broadcast isn’t yet on the up-and-up. They’d rather hype a guy and push a narrative instead of calling it straight. Authenticity is vital for a broadcast and they are just doing the Three Blind Mice routine. “NOTHING TO SEE HERE”!!
Round 3 of Boots Ennis vs. Xander Zayas is one of the greatest rounds of boxing you will ever watch.
An absolute war from bell to bell. Pure cinema. #ZayasEnnis
Polymarket, the UFC's official prediction market partner, built fake betting sites, paid creators to fake wins, and used teen clippers in Asia to make it go viral in the US, where it's been banned since 2022. The WSJ just blew it wide open.
