Aviation treats fatigue as a safety hazard: pilots have strict duty-hour limits, mandated rest, and are grounded if impaired even though they operate highly reliable machines.

Research shows fatigue impairs memory, reaction time, judgment, and increases error rates yet the medical profession still normalizes extreme duty hours.

If pilot fatigue warrants regulation, doctor fatigue deserves the same urgency if not more for patient safety.
