Hot take: most talking-head videos don’t need more effects, they need better pacing and music.

And don’t sleep on zooms. They make a single-camera shot feel dynamic, like there are multiple angles.

Good pacing + smart zooms > flashy effects.

First time opening After Effects, almost 3 years ago.

Don’t just make people watch your edits, make them feel them.

If it’s funny, scary, or tense, the viewer should feel that through your music, SFX, and pacing.

Next time when you're editing, don’t ask what effect should I add?

ask “what should they feel?” 🎯
