A clip from 'Survival' (1999), an animated MTV by Studio 4°C for the Japanese rock band Glay. This film & Noiseman coined a new animation term '2.7D', a seamless integration of 2D and celshaded CG that was back in its day really groundbreaking stuff.
My favorite part of working on animated films is designing the color script, which is a narrative roadmap that helps to guide the color & lighting choices throughout the story.
