@sarahdrinkwater Depends on how well I know the content and the audience, but about half a day, for 30 min of being on stage. This includes some practice time.
@CArmstrongLDN Remember when you spoke on one stage of #LonConf about working parents, and I had taken the care to have a prominent male urbanist on the panel, and only 50 people showed up? I was so ashamed. I was pregnant, it felt like a real rebuke from my audience! But I’m still trying.
@CArmstrongLDN It is a challenge to make the case for this stuff to internal and external audiences who are mainly male and disinterested, but it has to be done!
@celtadri I haven’t read it myself but there’s a new nonfiction out called How Spies Think about the analysis of ambiguous information that might be right for this sort of person.
@Shortsarky88 Wow that sounds amazing!! So many roasts. We do roast pork with crackling and colcannon potatoes but I overload on snacks beforehand. Have you ever had Chex Mix? An American delicacy/excuse to eat crunchy things in garlic butter.
@breakfast_lady @JonnElledge The cliche friends from PA have told me is that outside of Philadelphia and Pittsburgh it's basically Appalachian. Geographically and culturally most of the state is midwestern.
@JackDGraham Get well soon Jack, and agree it’s frustrating. Was talking with a friend yesterday (over phone) and we agreed that at the end of this we’ll see some radical changes coming in the way gov’t & public services work. Hopefully.
@idlehands12 Yeah, leaning into the individual runs for shopping drops seems like the way to go, although they might have to be just a drop off without a visit. It’s definitely needed.
