Who better to start with than Pat Falloon? Regarded as an elite, NHL-ready prospect, he became San Jose's first-ever draft pick at No. 2 in 1991.

In hindsight, the pick is often remembered as an unlucky one with future Hall of Famers Niedermayer and Forsberg going 3rd and 4th.
