Manifestation is real, which means the universe isn't testing your wishes.
It's testing your choices.
Every decision is getting you closer to an identity, every action builds evidence of who you are choosing to be.
Choose discipline over comfort.
Faith over fear.
Creation over chaos.
Your life becomes a reflection of the person you repeatedly prove yourself to be.
Saying black people deserve racism after purposefully being ignorant to support a black man bastardizing a poem about BLACK WOMEN is insane. You people have never read shit.
An 11 year old girl committed suicide after being bullied by kids at her school who told her they were going to call ICE to take her parents away so she would be all alone. 11 years old. Those children saw a Hispanic girl at their school and bullied her with the racist remarks they learned from their parents. Now a child is dead and a family is forever traumatized.
The school knew about the bullying but never informed her parents. They only found out about it after she had already passed and investigators informed them.
I will never understand how anyone could be so cruel to support an organization that is tearing families apart. This poor girl lived in fear thinking she was going to lose her family. The sick thing is I doubt the parents of those bullies even cared because that is the behavior they taught their children. Fuck ICE and fuck everyone who supports this.
Rest in peace Jocelynn Rojo Carranza.
Using AI generated art to market a festival called Sketchfest is like serving microwave dinners at a masterclass for fine dining. We’re honestly doomed 😭
i repeat, y'all called doechii an industry plant but this woman came out of nowhere with a song only 5 people know the lyrics to and she's breaking longstanding records. no plant allegations for her though. okay.
Nobody has ever made the dark feel as real as old Disney did.
In these films the night isn't an absence of light. It's a color, and someone mixed it by hand…
Disney had its own paint laboratory, built by a woman named Mary Weiser, the first of its kind in animation. Its job was to invent shades that did not exist yet. In the early thirties, when the studio was still making shorts, there were around eighty shades on the shelves. By the time they finished Snow White there were fifteen hundred.
Every one of them went on by hand, cel by cel, and each cel needed hours to dry before it could be photographed.
The Ink and Paint department was almost entirely women. According to the Walt Disney Family Museum, the paints were sometimes named after them, and to have a color carry your name was considered an honour.
So the dark of Bambi's forest, the lamplight in Geppetto's workshop, the blue at Cinderella's attic window: none of it is a filter or a setting or a dimmer turned down. Each is a specific colour that a specific person mixed in a jar, and some of those jars had her name on the label.
That is why these scenes still feel more alive than anything made since. We went from hands, to computers, to AI, and at every step there is a little less of the person left in it…
The author Joanna Maciejewska said it better than anyone: "I want AI to do my laundry and dishes so that I can do art and writing, not for AI to do my art and writing so that I can do my laundry and dishes."
Just as it took 70+ years for Americans to begin to recognize that Russia, not the USA, defeated Nazi Germany in the main, it will take an equivalent amount of time to acknowledge that Iran, more than any other battlefield actor, destroyed ISIS.
Racism plays an important role into thinking that black, asian or even indigenous populations magically appeared during modern times! There’s no “only one race” when you are talking about the same Ancient Greece that used to have trade routes with Africa and Asia, for example
