Sad to have our last long form sports class with @SteveYavner and the gang. Even from home, professor and everyone were able to make it feel like we were back in WD 421 like normal. Yavner is stuck with me for another year, but I’ll be missing this class and the guys graduating💙
CNN, NBC, CBS, & ABC are set to announce that they will no longer televise Trumps announcements from the White House, saying that they are not in the public interest. They are standing firm, claiming that they are actually protecting the American public.
Josh was a great journalist and person. He taught here many years ago, and we tried to get him back in the classroom recently, but his schedule did not allow it at the time. He was generous with his insight on panels we did on covering mental and mass shootings. A huge loss.
So sad to hear of @jkovner_courant's passing. On Oct. 1, he spoke at a panel organized by the @spj_ccsu chapter on covering school shootings, and as usual, was insightful. He is at left in the back row. Thinking of his @hartfordcourant colleagues and his family.
We are devastated. We had the delight of working with him and receiving so much valuable journalism advice from him. Our condolences to his loved ones.
We learned today that our dear friend and colleague Josh Kovner has died. A @hartfordcourant reporter for 24 years, Josh was a fierce journalist and dedicated teacher, the perennial voice of the voiceless and advocate of the underdog. Our hearts are with his family.
