There are certain moves you cannot make, opinions you cannot hold and certain positions you cannot take if you are not fully independent and self employed.

You can do your deconstruction thing when you start your own business/company but while working for someone else, you must follow their rules and work ethics.

This is what I was trying to address in my tweet.
The bone of contention in this discourse isn’t the “chore,” it is generally trying to make sure you’re not a complete burden on your host.

You don’t have to do chores (heck I don’t do chores), but you could always be helpful in other ways.

Order lunch, pay for the eggs they’re buying for breakfast, make the bed when you wake up, so many ways to ensure someone isn’t just picking up after you constantly because you’re hosting them.

Honestly unless the situations you find yourself in where your friend is in need of a caregiver (this has been my situation), you don’t need to burn because you’re hosting.
