I disagree. I think it’s way more important to consider the source of the information. The information is secondary to the source. It’s the reason for the fall. Adam and Eve failed to understand that God knowing the difference between good and evil wasn’t because he discovered it or it just occurred to Him. He knows it because He determines it. Every time, if the source is bad there’s always gonna be something wrong with the information.

Romans 1:20 explains this perfectly.
For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

We don’t need and have ever needed anyone to tell us about God, He did so Himself with His creation.

And once you know, you can’t help but tell.
