@SiJohnsonSJUS@Daniel_Tester85 Not snobbery, it was so much tougher than U21’s then he expected. Also, the amount of traveling involved just wasn’t justified or affordable. 100% respect to the lads that do it and hold down a full time as well.
@AwayDaysFB The hardest part was getting to the top, he managed that carrying the trauma. He went downhill fast after changing his agent and trying to get a move to Madrid.
@WorkElizab Pretty sure that here in the UK, the insurance company have to put you in a position comparable to before the accident occurred. Yes, they may write off the vehicle but should also not leave you out of pocket.
@Lee_utb@Saintsfire@SouthamptonFC A thought, if it’s a knockout competition then how can a points deduction also be held over to next season during a league format. If a team plays an Ineligible player in a knockout tournament they get expelled, no points deduction to be carried over to the league format.
@Secretgrassroo2 Most academy players are there to make up squad numbers. Each age group would be more than lucky if just one player ever plays a first team match. Players released at U21 struggle at level 3/4. Academies are great but most players aren’t world beaters.
@DanisMCFC Rules state that a manager must not exit the technical area. Until refs start applying the rules and book managers for breaking them it will continue.
@H6701@MissLauraMarcus Well I’m 61, a few years till retirement yet. I’ve worked since leaving school at 16, never been able to afford to put into a private pension. Always been on minimum wage. It’s a struggle to get to months end and still have a plus in the bank.
@Secretgrassroo2 He played non league this season up until December but the travelling at step 4 was insane. He’s now training/studying to become a PT. Most parents I know are realistic about the chances of making it to pro contract. It’s tough but you have to accept from day 1 it’s unlikely.
@Secretgrassroo2 My son was released from a Cat1 club last summer after 10 years. His second season as a scholar got injured pre season. Got fit and then injured again near seasons end. Club gave him a third year as a scholar to regain his fitness and we were very grateful but knew his time wasup
