@ErikBadguy YUS metropolis was the whole focus of the lecture!! Mainly the 1940s film though as it was super influential and had lots of new ideas In it for the time but my lecturer was shilling the anime HARD. It looks like it has cute robots in it though so I SHOULD check it out

@ErikBadguy So our lecture was about 'cityscape as a metaphor' ..wordy but about ways cities are used to represent parts of life. we talked about metropolis (old film turned anime) and different pieces of media but akira was specifically talking about cyberpunk and postmodernism and STUFF
